62 Plymouth 2dr Sedan Comversion- getting ready

There are a lot of us that have thought about doing what you did,but be proud you did this in what I think(front yard) not some big fab shop, makes it that much better, hats off to you!!!

You're very welcome. Lol it was in front yard too. Didn't have much of a garage and what one I did has my wife's car in. Wanted to get conversion done before winter hit and thank God had enough warm weather to complete. She sits inside garage now and wife's is outside under cover ;) BUT soon all shall be under cover in new garage that's about half way done. Building a 45x27 which will have to be enough for me. I don't have any progress pics on the old girl because I stuck her away when winter got last year but soon I'll start sanding down rest for paint and will update here.

My shop is 17 x 22 and has every tool I own in it plus the dart. Someday when I get all growd up I'll have a real garage too,I'm only 58 ya know!

Picked up this beautiful 62 4dr awhile back and now getting ready to start its 2dr conversion. Had some rust free fenders shipped in from CA to make about 99% rust free now.
Let me know if you need some fiberglass for your 62 Plymouth. Here at Sled City, we make fenders, hoods, bumpers, trunk, front lower valances for your 62 Plymouth. 62 Dodge too!

Just had some new door panels made up. We had them made by "Sue the Dragon Lady" from ASM Upholstery in Dallas. This is the same Sue Gas Monkey Garage uses. They did a great job and had them ready for pickup in less than 2 weeks!

Oh man sore spot lol. Builder has disappeared for about 5 weeks now leaving garage unfinished. Have threatened law suit and have given him deadline of Dec 1st to finish; which he says he will. Garage needs exterior metal, roof and garage doors on to finish. I don't see him showing and finishing before the 1st. Haven't paid fully so not totally out on the money end but stuck in contract.

Bummer. Maybe he'll get it in gear and get it finished. Wish you luck!

Garage yes...done

Car, have front sheet metal pulled off and at dippers to get spotless. Getting ready to pull k member with engine/trans out. Will sand that down and spray soon. Then in with new k member, suspension, disc brakes and big block 4spd combo
