anybody repoing them?
I could use a good used one, if not.

I replaced my cable as part of major resto. My cable worked fine but leakedat base of sheathing. I was going to repair. If you want to buy pm.

Thank You
But the one I have leaks also. I need one that does NOT leak.

The one I bought was $260 from Imperial; I waited two months to get it and this was holding up finishing the project. If I would had the cable (I had it at a shop for tranny redo) would have likely cancelled the order and refurbished one I had. I had repaired another one for a guy that still works fine; been over 10 years since the fix, with an epoxy and shrink wrap coating. Just another few hundred bucks I should have avoided...

Guess I'm not surprised to hear this...right now the cable is great and hope it stays that way. I was picky about its routing and protection from heat now that I have headers having a heat protective wrap added. Pretty amazing engineering how these button shifts work having redone the valve body on mine some years ago and of course adjusting the wheel, etc. And they were a favorite for a couple of legendary drag racers. Ford never got it right for the very short time they had a button shift on the Mercury and Edsel (buttons on the steering wheel- what a bad idea)! My folks bought a brand new 57 Merc and hated the buttons never wanting them again as they would stick and react sluggishly. Many years later I showed them how well they worked on my '63! I said ya should a bought a Chrysler!

Yes. I was told that yesterday. And Kramer only want's $1000 + shipping.

Wow...a grand? Here I was complaining about 260 bucks...I did a forum search for Imperial Services rick62 suggested; but I find only one report; but not a good one. I guess had better luck with them (I hope) at least getting the cable...

They're advertising $229 for a '62 cable...

If you call waiting two months, better luck. At least you got one.

I ordered a trans mount last year and he never responded to any phone calls or emails until I sicked PayPal on his arse. Canceled the order and let Classic Industries have the order and of course they buy them from Imperial Services.

I didn't see any shift cables for '62 on Classic Industries site but they could have them.
