This has been a project of mine for more than 2 years. I'm not in the business of repro, I'm just a Coronet owner who has been frustrated with not being able to get these letters.

What I have are repro letters for:

67 Coronet hood
67 Coronet 500/RT rear
67 Charger hood
68 Coronet rear
69 Coronet 500/RT rear (goes on trunk lid)
70 Coronet 500/RT rear (goes on finish panel, and needs modifications)

The hood letters will also fit 66 Coronet and Charger, but are not the correct style.

They will come with the correct fasteners.

Price is $150.00 plus shipping. Right now I'm planning on using a flat rate box for $8.00. If you have a cheaper idea please let me know. I want to ship them in a box to protect the pins.

Please PM me and I will give you my

email. Payment will be either Paypal or money order if you'd like. Please be patient, as this is more a hobby than a business.

I've spent a lot of time trying to get these correct, they are more along the lines of production quality rather than show quality. This is to keep the edges sharp.

OK. I'm not sure how I put the pictures in the middle, but I can assure you, I'm better at making letters than computers! LOL

What modifications are needed to go onto a 70 Coronet R/T rear finish panel?

Are these polished and painted?

Do the letters come with retainers on the pins? If not, where are they for sale?

Are you taking orders or are they ready to ship?

For 70, they are the same as the white 68, but you will have to cut the pins and either epoxy them to your finish panel...or if you are adventurous you can peen them over like the factory. I'd recommend you epoxy them, a friend that redoes the finish panels always epoxies the old ones back on with no trouble. If you really want, I will explain how the factory made it work and you can take if from there.
And you'll have to paint them black.

Sorry, I need much more detail.

They are cast, chrome plated and painted. The ones in the pictures are actual ones for sale.

I can't start taking orders until I set up a Paypal with these. If you want to send a money order, PM me and I can ship them out later this week. Paypal should be ready in a day or two as well.

They will come with the correct retainers.

I'll hear an explanation. Since the "DODGE" and "R/T" or "500" are riveted on a 70 tail panel, what tooling did they use to not have any canning in that thin, delicate metal?

I'm not sure I understand your question, but they peened them over. To me, it looks like they did it by hand. I only have one tail panel that I used for reproducing. The letters were cast with a very short pin and had a hole in the center. I think the hole was made so it peened easier. I just don't know exactly how long the pins actually were. I don't own a 70, and don't know how much room is behind the panel. If there's enough room, you might be able to use nuts and then cut off the pins. Other wise you'll have to duplicate the way the factory did it. Or use the epoxy, it does work.

My deck lid holes were filled and painted by a previous owner. Do you know where I can find a template for drilling the holes for the pins?

I don't see why I can't trace out one of my deck lids for you. PM me so we can talk, I'll give you my phone #.

Sorry for the long delay. I finally set up a Paypal account and have them ready to ship.

I've lowered the price to reflect what others charge for similar sets. The are now $120.00 for each set and $8.00 for shipping.
I've also had trouble getting the exact reproduction nut but they are available from RT Specialties. I can include incorrect looking nuts if you'd like, just let me know. I also have the correct barrel nuts for the 69 trunk letters too and are $5.00 extra.

PM me with any questions.

I've had my 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T since 2012. It's a nice looking car but the one thing about it that has always bothered me is the Dodge logo was missing on the deck lid. The holes for the pins were sealed up and painted by the previous owner. I have searched in vain for a decent set of DODGE letters, as many other Coronet R/T and 500 owners have. That is, until now.

Judging from the images posted by the seller I bought a set of deck lid letters from WS27 (aka Rich). They arrived a few days after I sent my PayPal payment. Rich even took the time and trouble to make a template for drilling the deck lid holes and included it with the letters.

The letters are made in the USA and came in a USPS box with good packaging to protect them from shipping damage. They look outstanding; nice and polished with no noticeable irregularities. Since used letters are made of Unobtanium and sell for ridiculous prices, even for a pitted, incomplete set, the price of this complete set of new, painted and polished letters was very reasonable.

I can't wait to install these when the weather permits (it's been in the high 90s all week). I'm very happy with my purchase.

Rich is an honest seller and a genuinely good guy who loves Mopars like I do.

Thanks, Rich.

Thanks Roger, I really appreciate the good word.
Here are the letters on a 69 trunk lid and the hood letters on a 67.

I included a side shot of the hood letters to show how they follow the curvature.

I really shouldn't complain about people throwing money at me for no reason... and I'm really not complaining at all, but...

Please make sure you contact me via email or PM here with your order. I've had a couple of people send me money (THANK YOU!!), but I really couldn't confirm exactly what they wanted until further correspondence. I had to wait, which I don't mind, but you may.

All the letter sets are the same price, so I really need to know what you need.

Please include:

Your name so I can match it up to paypal.
which set or sets,
whether you need attaching hardware,
and your complete address

For 69 trunk, I have the correct spring clips ($5.00 extra), but if you need nuts for other sets, I only have incorrect looking, but perfectly functioning nuts
