Need a good starting price on a 383. F383-51-R----VIN OC231180-casting #2468130 11
906 heads-10137-with vintage Weiand covers. Complete pan to intake (no exhaust manifolds)
Has water pump housing, rocker arms&shafts, crank pulley. Turns over very nice, been sitting several years. The shop I got this from said it runs (ran) great, just replaced with a 440,. What would a good starting price for this re-builder core? Thanks POPS

Long block $375.00 give or take.

906 heads can bring that by themselves?

$500 would probably sell it.
$800 and it may become a shop ornament.

I don't think you can give away a 383 around here. I've seen them listed on craigslist for $200-$300 for months and months and months and not sell.

The 906 heads will likely sell for more than the 383. I see them listed and gone at $300-$400.

You'd be lucky as can be to get 375 around my area for it.....and here lately, seems like nothing is selling unless it's for giveaway prices.

I got mine for nothing. And gave one away as well. I paid 200 for a complete/ disassembled 340 with heads already machined/ valve job and blocked cleaned/ sonic tested. From intake to pan ....

Yep 3-500 for the whole thing. Maybe 6.

$2-250 for the heads, $75-100 for the covers alone.

What they all said. I've got 3-4 of them. One might get $3-400 for a core in that shape. Probably double that for a complete & running example.
