I have a 273 in my 1965 Belvedere II.
I am looking for a set of headers and a set of high compression pistons.
I have a 4bbl intake but I do not have a carb yet. I believe the carb on the commando was a 500 cfm carter afb.
I am considering changing heads to "302" castings, so I'd be interested in that and a 4bbl intake to go with the "302" heads.

I have a 4 bbl intake if you need a spare? also a pretty nice AFB, However I do not know what size it is.
I'll look at the heads I have.

I have a flywheel & bell housing if you decide to go stick in it. Also have the 3-spd tranny for it.

Egge machine has the high compression pistons you need L2222 is their part number. Here is a link to their website: https://egge.com/
I can't be much help with the headers as I have not worked with small block B bodies. Do you have the number on the intake handy. 65 was the first year for the HP273 and if you are using the stock heads, that intake is a 1 year only piece. In 66 they changed the intake bolt size to 3/8" and changed the angles . If you keep the 65 heads you either need a 65 intake or modify the bolt holes to make it work. Edelbrock made a #D4B dual plane intake for the 64-65 heads. The 302 casting heads are a good choice. They flow a bit better and have hardened seats for today's unleaded gas. They also accept any standard small block intake (bolt size and angle). I would stay with a 273/318 intake though because they have smaller ports like the heads do. LD4B is a excellent choice. They haven't been produced for years but they come up for sale from time to time in the $200-$250 range. Edelbrock makes a 500 and 600 cfm carb. I put a 600 on my HP273 and it works well. You will have to enlarge the holes for the secondary butterflys in that stock 65 intake though. The butterflys will hit the intake and prevent the secondaries from opening fully. Easy to do at the machine shop. I rebuilt my HP273 in my 66 Dart. Here's a link to my engine build. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/273-build.94343/#post-871687

The intake I have is 2465726. I might sell or swap it if I came across 302 heads and ld4b intake.

I have a extra LD4B. Keep me in mind if you find some heads.

Hi Steve, did you have a chance to check the heads you have to see if they are "302" castings?
