It's 15 miles from me in Norman. I would have to borrow money to buy her and she would have to sit outside beside my pickup in the driveway. But she sure is nice.

I don't know if "save" would be the right term. It is in no danger of being crushed or parted out is it ?
Nice looking ride. I parted out a 67 2 door 300 with a 440, 727 and a 3,23 SG diff. I would have liked to keep it whole but nobody wanted it. Oddly, if it were a 4 door, I may have been more tempted to keep it. I don't see the C body cars as tire frying musclecars so I'd have kept it as a cruiser.

It looks like a pretty nice car. It would be a fun cruiser and the price seems right...

Remember you can only drive one at a time , you need to borrow the money witch I hate doing. And then it's not exactly like a gtx, charger or road runner it looks nice but they sent worth much I'd say it's probably only worth $3500 the way it sits . All fixed up purity $7500-8000 there's the same car but a vert bear me same color even guy can't give it away for $10000 it's freaking presteen ! Now if you need a cheap driver this Is a different story but $5000 is to much .

If the situation was different for me I'd buy it and drive the hell out of it!

I'd be all over that like a fat kid on a smartie! But I think it is a touch steep, maybe 4000 to 4500 tops

I just picked up a 1966 Polara 4 door that has 26,000 original miles. its a 383 w/ a 2 barrel. My 16 y.o. daughter fell in love with the car so i bought it. Our car isn't as nice as the one in the pic but still a super clean survivor . The thing runs like a sewing machine & rides like a dream! We absolutely love the car!!!

I suggest you buy it. This are very nice cars. It might not be fast but it still has a ton of class!

They guys over on C Bodies will love it ! Also the best place to ask about the "C" questions. The photo looks like one hell of a nice ride !

Buckets and console are interesting in a Newport.

My first Mopar experience was my mom's 383 67 Newport 4D in that daffodil yellow with black int and P/W.

I LOVED that car.

There's a 318 fastback 2D with bench and aftermarket A/C for 3500, and it's been on for quite a while.

IIRC there was a 300 in the same body style with hidden headlights that sold for 2800 last year.

Keep it drive it. Those old chrysler might be a big car. But they have sweet lines. I think the best lines out of all the large cars. There not worth restoring but in that condition well worth enjoying

The black duct tape on the seats is a nice touch.

A lot of people in the interweb say how much they may love a particular car and say it's worth buying and saving, but when the rubber hits the road, it's just all talk, as it is here. If the car was really desirable it would be gone in a heartbeat, especially when word gets out on line. Simply, it's just an undesirable ugly old car that looks (at least in pictures) to be in halfway decent shape for its age. Personally, I wouldn't want that thing as a gift.

I saw a lot of cars like this when I was looking for a C body to part out to get a drivetrain for the Roadrunner. There are a lot of these here in Florida that a couple had when they retired here, then the husband passes away and the car was parked, and now the widow passes away or is going into a retirement home and wants to get rid of it. They are true survivors and I never had the heart to buy one just to rip it up.

There's plenty of rusted out and neglected C bodies out there to use for parts.

Beautiful car, and they ride like a dream. console shift a plus. If I had the money I'd buy it, but not borrow it.and cheaper is always better.

Needs verses wants is my mantra here. If you have to borrow the money to make the purchase then in reality you cannot afford it. Just my HFO...cr8crshr/Tuck:usflag::usflag::usflag:

IMHO, no...just let it go. One, don't get into debt for this car. Two, why go into debt only to leave it outdoors to bake in the sun and run the risk of it being pounded in a hail storm?

Thanks guys. The feeling has passed. Common sense has regained control. I'm going to pass on this car.

Patrick66 knows this car and posted lots of details over on FCBO.

Thanks FBBO
