Hey guys, I'm rebuilding a 1973 Charger SE and currently working on reinstalling the factory A/C box and heater core, but I am unsure exactly what the "air box mounting support bracket" is and how it attaches to the box to the dash frame. It's been awhile since we originally removed the box and I am unsure if the bracket that I currently have attached is the right support bracket. If anyone has pictures of their factory A/C box mounted in their car or any advice on how to go about reinstalling the A/C box that's more detailed than the installation instructions found in the Chassis/Body shop manuals for '73s that would be great!

Your box looks just like mine. You need the bracket that goes to the box from the dash side as in one of my pictures. It's pretty much straight forward from there.

Once you have the bracket, then the heater core ends go into the firewall and whola, pretty much done

No, not sure. You stated your car is a '73, mine is a '71. I would assume it might go from the firewall to the box(?). I clicked on your picture and it appears you have a bracket on the box, but I could be wrong. The picture is a little dark, someone else might know

Alright thanks! It's just been over 4 years since I removed that strut however I did label that it came from under the dash.

No worries. It's been a long time when I tore mine apart, not just the heater box, but the whole car and then trying to put it back together when I get a bout of Alzheimer/getting old.....yea, it can be challenging. Forums like this one is a great help to get cars back together.
