Thought I would check eBay today n found this, seems like a good project but what year is it???

VIN is a 69. Description says po added 68 grill, taillights and seats.

He added that after I sent him a message regarding this, also set a message for tag n build sheet n dash tag

Bet it goes for mid-teens $$. I would personally inspect it before bidding. It looks solid but primer can hide some pretty good mud jobs and selective pic taking can overlook some ugly...

I would also check the numbers too something smells fishy might be a vin swap too.

Maybe...but not sure what the gain would be by putting a vin for a 318 car over to another car would be. I do agree everything needs to be checked out. These arent the old $500 beaters.
Good point BB70

Well a good gain would be to take a nice body of say a stolen car and give it a vin number again I've seen it before you don't want to get a car have have it checked to find its a stolen car with a different bin plate on it by using a 318 tag people won't bother checking because why would they do that for a stripper car .

swapping tail lights requires a bit of surgery......should be fairly obvious........

more likely, I smell a rat; and not a crafty one either

Yeah, as far as the taillights & rear panel, by the discussion we were having about the deck lid & rear panel differences, which are not that subtle, it would be a chore of a swap.
Yep, that is a 69 deck lid,,,,wagering that the rear panel is a combo of 68 & 69.

If any one is serious about it and needs it looked at I may be able to help out. There was one charger in Edmonton not too long ago that had funny VIN issues. Ie; lost the vin but had two others etc.... I don’t think this is that car, and I also, have not seen this one around before so it could well have been in storage for the 12 - 15 years or whatever it was that he claimed. It’s probably all okay

I too smell a rat.

That's also an original quarter, but I don't see a spot for a 69 marker reflector. Can't see the hole for the round side light either, but the rectangle reflector cutout would be more visible.....

Those are definitely 68 fenders...

Love the trailer hitch

it's fairly obvious to me the guy has a 68 with no title, and a dash/vin/title from a totaled or rotted 69...... body stampings on the core support and trunk lip would prove me wrong

That is why it is so important to actually look at these things before buying. If you dont know what you are looking for or where to look send someone that does!

that's a 68 charger with a 69 charger vin. it's that simple. I would say a law or two has been broken

black car with a blue and white interior? is that a combo?

Anybody on here bidding on this, beware, been playing eBay tag with him all day,n cannot show trunk gutter or rad support # for clarity on vin n no dash vin or tag or build sheet, tried to educate me on Canadian ownership n if I needed to check car to run a car fax.I won't want to try n ship it across the border.Just for everyone's info
