I have a 69 Coronet 440 I'm putting some trick flow 270s on what headers are the best fit probably going with 2 7/8 auto transmission.
I put lot of headers on since the 80s and went all out and bought a set of TTIs for an a body because of all the hype and I can't say I was impressed. Don't get me wrong there good headers but they didn't seem to fit much better than hookers

I run Doug's on my 65 without any dings and cussing.I also run the TF 270,s. Plug clearance is no problem.

I think I'm going to have to give them a try that's about the only header I haven't tried

I put 2" TTI headers on my 69 GTX, with 240 TF's, they fit great.

Post your results after getting them installed please. I will be dealing with the same thing next summer on my Bee. I have used TTI's on 2 B-bodies with not bad results, but like you put a set on my Duster last year and ended up denting a tube to make them work. Plan on using the Trick Flow heads and would really like to try the Dougs headers.

Will do

I believe stock works. I just upgraded because the cost wasn't that much more than stock, and I wanted a little better ratio. I probably overkilled on the 2" headers, Jim said my engine was right on the border of 1 7/8 & 2. I found a killer deal on the 2" so bought them.

Whatever happened to equal lenght headers? Someday I want to put together a little red wagon like pickup. Just so I can put an eight into one equal lenght header on it. Wonder how it would sound at idle with a big cam? LOL.
