Nice. Congratulations. I just won another first place also recently with my blue Challenger. I know that they are just plaques or cheap plastic trophies. It's not the awards for me that matter. It's nice to see others notice all of ones hard work and detail.
I installed magnetic LED light strips on to my lift also. Don't ever need a drop light. I also fabbed up some brackets to mount a winch for when I have to winch up non-running vehicles up the driveway incline and up onto the hoist.
To make things even worse, locally there is a flat orange 67 Chevrolet Biscayne fastback with the 01 on the doors, confederate flag on the roof, the push bar, similar turbine style wheels and the Charger flip top gas cap mounted to the top of the quarter panel.
I tried to buy the gas cap...
I was going to install mine myself. Our local lift company kind of gets you by the balls. If I installed it, it would only have a 30 day structural warranty. No installation/parts warranty. At the time when I purchased mine it was $650.00 delivered and installed. If they installed it, it came...
Mine is mini-tubbed and moved inboard to the frame rails with 315's and plenty of room all the way around. However, we narrowed the rear axle so that it was as close to the outer wheel lip as possible. I like that loom better. I don't like when tires are tucked too far inward. The wheel well is...
I would not try to turn the engine over by a torque converter bolt. Even with the spark plugs out. My luck, I would break it off. As mentioned, use a socket on the crank bolt. A 1-1/8" socket with a 3" extension on a 1/2" drive breaker bar or long ratchet works good on all of my cars.
The door scoops are actually the only thing I don't like about a 70 over a 68/69. I prefer the look of the door identions and how they flow into all the body lines on down the length of the car. However, I currently own two 70 Chargers, so they have grown on me over the years.
I also mark the center on both pieces of front and rear carpet sections as well as the floor/trans tunnel areas to ensure everything is square and straight as I lay both of them in before I start fitting, forming and cutting the door edge opening to fit.
