If the car ran fine last year, and still has good spark this year your issue is likely 100% fuel related.
Do you have a fuel pressure gauge (edelbrock likes 5.5 psi) and regulator on it. It is possible it’s starting but running out of gas because the fuel system can’t keep up for one of three...
I did change step-up springs, and the air valve was okay, had it jetted fairly accurately on the run in/dyno stand, it was already healthily into the secondary and would then flatten out and pick up again right away, kind of like it was running out fuel but it wasn’t. Had high volume Carter...
I ran one on a stroked 400 (451) and it performed well. Had a little flat spot and would split second fall on its face when winding it out in 1rst gear after a launch (4spd.) but would pull hard thereafter. Didn’t really have a chance to tune that out of it as I sold the car.
I’m not sure...
The extra electric pump may be nice for priming the system. Seems like a lot of these cars will have the fuel evaporate out of the float bowls and bleed back from the pump after sitting for a while. Might have to do with the modern gas we have these days too. The electric pump will help with...
Just a cheapo 2 or 3,000 lb winch will work just fine. If you’re ever trying to load one going ‘up hill’ or an ‘extra heavy’ vehicle you can always snatch the winch cable to double up the pull, it just becomes a lot slower that way.
dislexia - summit 6401.
I used a summit cam and lifter kit once - and it ate 3 lifters in the first 20 minutes of run in. Not a fan.
Went with Hughes and Hughes lifters the next time with their guarantee against wiping a lobe and had zero problems.
I’ve never even seen these on a 67 until I scoured the internet. You’re not asking but if I had a ‘vote’ I’d say leave them off. Very nice looking car without them on.
