The engine builder (drag racer) that built mine put in a moderate Purple Shaft Cam (it was in the 80's and I can't remember the #'s now) and new pistons w/ 10:1 compression, block was bored .20 over stock. Idles fine, sounds tough, bad to the bone. He tried to keep it street-able, but just barely.

The 14 on the fender tag is 426 wedge and the 3 is four speed. Is there a 1 in front of the first 2 on the bottom row of the engine stamp?

Bought this new at the last dealer I worked at. 2004.5 Dually, Cummins HO, NV56OO 6 Spd trans, 2X. Almost 226k on it, has all 3 hitch types but only used the receiver so far. Hopefully soon it heads to a new home as the 67 wagon I got in January is its replacement.
