I agree with taller tires.Going from a 205/60 14 to a 225/7015 will give you a 1 1/2'' Every tire manufacture varies.
It doesn't sound like much but every bit helps. Many tire companies have charts/specs for aspect ratios.
My 63 has 75 series tires but I'm going for the early 60's look. 27''...

The rear axle is hanging down to its limit of travel. My shaft with the yoke bottomed out, leaves three-quarters of an inch approximately before the rear joint goes in the rear yoke. Seems a bit tight when the car sits on the ground. How much end play should I have?
