    70 Coronet trunk lid question

The other day I noticed the trunk lid on my 70 coronet, the left side corner by the hinge has a hole punched in it. But the right side does not. I thought maybe it was a factory error. But searching FBBO, every picture of a 70 coronet has only a hole on the left side. Anyone know a reason for...

    My Carburetor journey.

Carter never made an AFB that had 1.75" throttle bores; the Edel 800 AFB & AVS have 1.75" bores. They are a completely new design with new boosters.

    Replacement wheel studs help.

They pressed right in, no problems. I had the same issue as @Kern Dog in that I needed a longer stud than stock for the new Scott Drake aluminum "Magnum 500s" I was putting onto the car. These studs fit perfect on my rear axles and also allowed me to get all right hand thread on the car. Getting...

B movie with a good car chase scene.

It's on Prime right now. Wake of Death. A fairly lame Jean Claude Van Damme movie. The first five minutes show a car chase that is later expanded much later in the movie. It has a white fourth Gen Z28 which you don't see very often. It gets destroyed but the action is real, no CGI. The last...

No spark to No 1 cyl on my Hemi?

If just #1 is not getting spark, it could be the cap or lead. It could also be the reluctor gap [ likely it has no gap, is touching the pole piece & you get no spark on THAT cyl ]. It could be the gap is too big, but that is less likely if just one cyl is affected.

Valve Train Noise after Cam Break-In

Remove a valve cover. Check for loose rockers [ up & down, not side to side ]. If you can push the p'rod down into the lifters, that means the lifters did not pump up. Could be faulty lifters, or jammed internally.

    Replacement wheel studs help.

Don and Kern, Dorman shows those have a .684 knurl diameter, did you have to open the existing hole up at all or did they just press in?

    Replacement wheel studs help.

My struggle with studs has led me to start with Dorman 610-080: 1/2-20, 0.625" knurl, 1 & 15/16" long. Good length, but the studs were loose after drawing them in. So, stepping up to 0.630" knurl, I found Dorman 610-519: 1/2-20, 0.629" (or 0.630" some others have listed), 2.22". Still a good...
