Those gas prices are what they are here in SoCal. About $6 for premium (91 Oct). I’m surprised they are that high in MX. You have your own oil supply - Yes? And then refining it - do you have refineries?
Get a pic.
And an fyi……
The numbers cast into the manifold are not the part number……… those are the casting numbers, and will not match the numbers in the catalog or on the box.
I disagree I've used 20-50 for break in many times with no issues. That not the cause or contributing factor to lifter failures
It's all about lifter bore rotation and adequate bore height for lifter bodies.
And if you decide you want to use the 11.75" rotors[ you'll need 15" wheels for this], its just a matter of getting a pair of rotors and caliper brackets for the larger units.
Yeah there are lots and lots of M1 intakes so you have to be careful. Especially if you're buying an unknown manifold from someone. The M1 4500 intakes make really good power for race engines but they are hard to find. The extra wide M1 intakes are worthless unless you own Stage VI heads.
Maybe a holdover in the stamping for when there were vacuum actuated trunk latches. A vacuum line with a grommet went through that hole to the latch on the trunk lid. My 69 Satellite has one. Wouldn't work on a 70 though since it looks like the latch mechanism is on the body of the car instead...
You don't need to use a bulkhead fitting. The return line is very low pressure. Have a welding shop braze a 3/8 hose nipple to the sending unit flange and then use 3/8 hose with a hose clamp for the return line.
Or buy a dedicated EFI tank, or buy the Holley muscle car EFI module that doesn't...
They did make a M1 single plane with max wedge ports and one that only fits on the rb stage VI head with raised ports. Also made intakes for B engines. Some fit 4150, some fit 4500 carbs.
M1 covers a lot of applications..
Look for part numbers!
