I found this screwed under the heater box of my ‘71 Charger. Handmade out of galvanized sheet metal with two copper tubes soldered to it. The tubes were pointed to thee holes in the floor/ firewall. Someone was taking care of this thing, I guess that’s why there’s no rust anywhere!

So actually I have found the issue. It seems I had pushed the cam too far back into the block. So now I have it aligned. Waiting for the cup washer to arrive so I can keep it aligned and againsed the thrust plate.
