Been a while but made some progress. Started with making carbon fiber panels. I hand laminated the following panels wuth weight in kg of steel and carbon fiber:
Left quarter 13kg steel, 3kg cf
Right quarter 13kg steel, 3kg cf
Left mini tub 8.3kg, 3kg cf
Right mini tub 7.9kg 2.8kg

Not done anything on the car because I bought first house and build a garage.
But today started working on it in my new garage. Mounted the rear suspension and rear wheels. Pretty happy with the ride height this far. I have 10j rear wheels, I'm thinking to get it widened to 12j.

I've been busy, I bought my first house so I will have some space for the car, so that's nice.
I also bought aluminium 19 inch wheels with tires. 9 J front and 10j back. For only 600 euro. I'm going to look of I can get 305's on the rear tire. Wheels will be powder coated black.

I'm also thinking about putting a roll bar in the car with aluminium kirkey seats instead of the heavy bucket seats i have right now. Smart choice or not?
Yes lower control arms were paralel to the ground. So that will be okay.
Been busy again, mounted the sidescoops. And welded and aligned the brackets for the hood. Almost ready for the epoxyprimer. Will be epoxy primed in 2 weeks or so. I'm planning to make the front fenders and trunk of fiberglass.
I have been busy, but did not take photo's yet. Mainly with welding all holes in engine compartment. It were a lot of holes...
I will have the body and panels in epoxy primer in a month or so. After that the bodywork will begin.

No I mounted the leaf springs first, and attached the rear end to it. In this way I kney for sure the location of the rear end would be right etc. I will set tide height and pinion angle when assembling when the car is painted.
I welded the 4 link in today. I will be using my 8.75 rear, so welded the brackets on it also. My goal is to have all the metal work done in a month and put it in epoxy primer to start the bodywork
Worked on my drivetrain today. Made a dolly on wheels. Got the Qa1 K member in so mounted the 440 on it. Also installed the headers, steering box and starter. The Trans is also montage already. Will try to continue with drivetrain next 2 weeks and hopefully can finish it. To do are the braided...
Little update. Installed the torque boxes and the Subframe connecter. I had to cut the rear torque boxes so that the Hotchkiss subframe connector could go through. The nice ring is I also welded the Subframe connectors to the rear torque box, so extra solid. Next up is installing the 4 link...
Small update. I finished the panel for the gps/music screen, parking sensor beeper, and some buttons. Made it out of plywood, with 5mm foam layer and leather at top.
I will make some sort of trim piece to make the parking sensor nicer. It will come where the radio normally is. I will post...
Been a productive day today. Mounted the bulkheads for AC and heater and for wiring harness. All routed under the fender. And installed the inner fender braces and front brace from us cartool. I welded the front brace myself with co2. Was my first weld ever. Still have to smooth the welds out...
Started to make the radiatora dn AC condensor fit. There is also a oil cooler on its way, hope I get it al fitting in there. Also started to mount the AC compressor, I need to get a longer bolt and some spacers for that. I like it on this position much better as where the AC compressor sits...
I'm considering to go for a efi setup. I also want to go and install a nos system. I want a small serperate fuel tank for the nos system. Does anybody have experience with efi and nos system combination?
Setup i'm thinking of now:
- Intank fuelpump
- Braided fuel line
- High pressure fuel...

Roads here are super flat no mountains. So mainly long highways etc. So overdrive will be a nice thing, otherwise i have to choose really low rear end gears if I want to drive in reasonable RPM's. Thanks for using the metric system:)
