This is actually getting interesting... You notice it does not start with a "PK" "A 67 trans could have an H or a J which would be 66 or 67." This transmission is looking more and more like a 67. The 10,000 calender didn't start till 1968. Therefore decoding the date will not work.

I think the builds were different. After 1971 they stopped using factory body-in-white cars and started from the ground up with a tube frame and chassis, then hung on the body panels.
