HD and Lowe’s are across the street from each other here too. I find I go to Lowe’s probably at least 10 times for every time I go to HD. Lowe’s just seems better organized and easier to find what I’m looking for. If I can’t find it at Lowe’s then I’ll venture over to HD second.

They got quite a bit nicer as they evolved. We rented an FWD New Yorker around 92. It was nice and comfortable and had decent power, toting 5 adults on a hundred mile trip in the hills of Southern Ohio.

B/RB engines have the distributor in the front of the engine. Due to the rotating cam/intermediate shaft the cam is thrust rearward hence, no need for a cam thrust plate. 440'

The pics show copper on the ends of some rod bolts (not all.) This suggests the plating occurred as an assembly, and perhaps the nuts changed later. Bolt installation would occur after heat treatment. Just because 2 rods have a similar copper color doesn’t mean the same process was used to...

Last question first. Yes, disc conversions often move the wheel farther toward the fender. The disc hat is usually thicker than a drum. It looks like you mini-tubbed it, without narrowing the rearend. That works, but that means you need more backspace than normal, and a LOT more backspace than...
