Originals were solid with heat treated rounded ends. New style are 3 piece hollow with a ball welded to the ends. Running the 3 piece shouldn't be a problem as long as you purchase a good quality part.

I used Jegs last night.....to identify the model number and application for a set of headers I am selling. I only realised last night that they are for a B-Body . I've had them on my A100 for the past 14 years......I thought they were A-Body.....boy was I wrong. Anyhoo, they fit an A100...

A word of advice/warning - do not leave fibreglass ladders or step-ladders outside. They will go bad on you in no time at all.....and fibres will get into your skin. I see guys over here every day with them on the roof of their vehicles.....the sun loves stuff like that here. I keep mine...
