Normally msd stuff goes orange> coil+, black > coil - and red is the power trigger.

My plan is to install the running gear then poke a hole in the floor from the bottom to get a starting point .
I have seen a few floor hump installs that were pretty shady...ragged edges, huge holes patched back, etc.

It's a drive for you, but I had Randy's Ring and Pinion in Everett WA go through an 8-1/4 with new axles and bearings (quite awhile ago now). I wanted the 8-1/4 with 2.45 gears for a racing project. Give them a call.

Standard make all kinds of lengths.
Some have the 2nd lead....some do not.
Wouldn't be all that hard to make your own from them.
And be a whole lot cheaper than $100 for a negative cable.
Hold the clutch fork back with your hand and with the other turn the nut out until you have about 3/16 of slop between fork end and push rod nut. That should give you about 1" of play at the pedal and it should make it come all the way up.
