I appreciate your desire. Unfortunately, there is already a long list of people who want this in the 3 years I have owned it. The line starts with my 3 kids. HAHA
Thanks!! The high beams are going to be true "ram air", once I relocate the battery. The look right now is from the old school ram air cars that the racers used to run.
Only ran it once and didn't keep the slip..........Most of the time, in the social media circle, times mean nothing without the slip. I only ran it to see about where I was time-wise, and was very happy with the results. It's faster than I need it to be for sure.
1966 Dodge Coronet Deluxe station wagon. Body and paint is 95% original and the interior is all original except for the carpet. 415 Indy stroker motor, dyno'd at 539hp and 527lb/ft of torque. 727 transmission with reverse manual valve body. Drivetrain Specialties Dana 60 rear with 4.10 gears...
The spool isn't a big deal until you get into tight turning areas, and then the rear just jumps and chirps a little. No big deal. I have manual steering, so this thing doesn't turn real tight anyway........
Derale is a good product. I am running 2 - 10inch electric fans, coming in just around 20 amp draw, 40 amp relay with 30 amp circuit breaker protection. Works perfect. Never goes over 195 degrees now even in traffic. I have a Tuff Stuff, one wire, 100 amp alternator. Works great even at idle.
Thanks for the comment!! modded 440, 750 double pumper(soon to be tunnel ram and 2-4's), 3 inch exhaust back to Flowmaster Super 10's, 727 with reverse manual valve body, 3.55 gears with a spool. I love the green too. It's such a headturner everywhere I go.
I went with a MSD ready to run, and a one wire alternator. I removed the vacuum advance, and just adjusted with the springs and bushings to get what I wanted. Set full advance and that was it. Eliminated the voltage regulator, the ballast resisitor and it cleaned up the firewall very nicely...
