1968 Plymouth GTX 440 - Quick Walk Around

I posted this build update on my opening Welcome to FBBO thread, which I have since been told, wasn't the best of threads for me to have done so. I also thought that I would add the post here - just in case you share that certain weakness, for Snakeskin Green - while reaching out to a few more...

    Voltage Regulator Confusion

I am presently replacing my old (race only) voltage regulator with an updated more street friendly voltage regulator. I have included a photo layout below, illustrating present setup. Unfortunately, the new regulator came with no installation guide. This and the fact, wiring colors and pin...

    Head Bolt Washers

I just realized that my stock 440 heads were previously torqued to the block using head bolts without washers. Is this normal, or should washers have been used? I am looking at buying a new set of ARP head bolts and the ARP kits that I've seen so far, include washers. Curious :)

    440 P/S Head - Oil Leak

Last fall, I developed an oil leak immediately after a radical backfire. Smoke was pouring outa the left side of hood and at the time, I suspected it was a blown P/S valve cover seal. I have since swapped out the Holley 770 Avenger carb (never liked it) and replaced the P/S valve cover seal...

    Holley Heat Shield - Installation

Greetings... I just bought a Holley 750 cfm Ultra Double Pumper, (Manual Secondary & Manual Choke) together with a Holley 106-70 Heat Shield. Before I begin installation, I noticed the inner bore of the heat shield appears to be a little small to accommodate the clearance, I would think is...

Fuel Line Kits - Holley 4150 Comments

CARB FUEL LINE KIT – COMMENTS Background Story: I recent days, I have been entertaining the idea of swapping out a Holley 770 Street Avenger, I bought in 2009, that has seen, at most, 20 miles of actual road testing, since being installed during vehicle resto and/or mods later and finally...

    Go Go Green

For those of us Mopar fans who love our green machines, here's a crude mock-up, illustrating my vision of what a special order Quick Fuel SS series 850 cfm. could like like. Especially if such a carb, was available in the near future, c/w stock jets & metering blocks, but featuring the E85...

    Guess What Mopar

A friend of mine, having seen my 68 GTX and knowing that I was a Mopar guy, was kind enough to show me HIS car, for the very first time yesterday. I had heard about it - but had no idea, just how beautiful his Mopar really is! I wasn't able to take any over-all photos, given the confines of it's...

WTB 68 GTX Side Marker Lamp Wiring

While trouble shooting my side marker lamp wiring, I was forced to destroy a plastic component, of the bulb socket, in order to expose a hidden faulty pin connection and must now fix the problem. As it turns out, my bezel, lens and mounting nut are original and correct pieces for the 68...

    Pentastar location

Can anyone confirm the measurements (A, B and/or C) as shown in the below picture? I found a service bulletin, also shown below, but their 9 - 1/2" measurement, leading up from the underside of the PS fender, seems a little off to me, given the addition a chrome rocker panel trim, which now...
