    Price Check 1969 GTx

IMO, most I'd pay is $3000, in this neck of the woods. Front frame rails and swapping inner fenders isn't a fun task. That car sounds like a pretty hefty project. One thing to keep in mind is all the rotten metal that will be under the rotten metal you see on the outside.

    Anyone with rusted chrome

XXXX Very fine steel wool. No scratches, even on glass. The pitting/corrosion comes from under the top layers of the chrome, so trying to stop it dead in it's tracks would be next to impossible. Once it's started and get's moisture, it's pretty much a continuous cycle to keep it clean. I've...

Who all have used AMD panels? Not happy

Aftermarket sheetmetal is like a barrel of rotten apples. You got to dig for the best ones. None are going to be perfect, but some are are close enough to eat. AMD for Mopars is probably the best apple in the barrel. By far, there are worse panels out there. Way worse. The sad truth is that you...

Locked brakes after a cruise.... Then not..

Mikey, I'd reset the initial shoe adjustment per the FSM and go from there. Always start with the easy stuff first. Like mentioned, any excessive heat will lock up a brake. A warped drum will also cause heat/lockup. Sorry Mikey.....didn't catch your update. Hope it cured it for you!

Wow! Thanks for taking the time to post fella's. I appreciate it. Also, thanks for the compliments. Going off what you're all saying here, I have a pretty good punch list to start working off. Thank you! The car didn't have any sort of ethanol blend in it. I use 91-92oct ethanol free fuel in...

Thanks for the reply Ski! The radiator has only been ran for one season, so basically new. Anti-freeze is a nice clean green. No hazing or discoloration. I would guess any issue would be like you and Reed mentioned, the thermostat. Nothing weeping from the water pump. It only was hot at low...

    Rediculously Overpriced Stuff Rants

I'm sure that the OP, along with many others get's the basic's of; if it's too pricey don't buy it. The issue with high/overpriced parts is if folks are selling and people are buying for those prices way up in orbit, over time that trends the market for those prices to stay the same or even...

Roadrunner is out of hibernation, and is not happy about it.

Hello fellow Countrymen! After wasting away for half a year in a storage shed, my Plymouth is back in the garage at home. Over the course of our mini-ice age, the car's managed to pick up a couple issues. First issue........ I drove into town to snag a couple shots of the car, and burn a...
