    Speedometer gear question

I'm hoping to get some help from you guys, even though my question is about a GTO. My car must have had the rear gears changed from the original factory one. I'm also running larger tires than factory correct. Here's my problem... The speedometer reads 14% higher than the actual speed. At...

    Transmission seal restorer.

Last Fall we purchased a car that had been sitting in storage for about 12 years. It has an automatic transmission, and now a few of the seals are leaking. Has anyone had success using a product to soften the seals and minimize the leaking?

    Front end alignment question

Here's one for the alignment experts... Does adjusting the ride height up or down on the front suspension change the camber or caster setting? If it does, would changing the ride height by 1/2" to one side require a new alignment?

    727 dipstick

Could someone tell me the proper factory color for the dipstick handle of the 727 transmission? Mine is painted engine color, but I think that's probably wrong. I think unpainted, or silver, might be correct.

    '68 Door window regulator roller

There is a V-style roller that is riveted to the door window regulator on the '66-'70 2-door models. The one on our car is frozen, and I haven't had any luck getting it freed up. Does anyone make replacement rollers for these? I hate to spend the money for the whole regulator just because of...

Wanted: Plastic screw covers for 68 Coronet

Guys I need some help finding a pair of plastic screw covers for the front fenders of a '68 Coronet. They are black and look similar to wire nuts used for electrical connectors, except these have 3 wings used to tighten them instead of only 2. They are located right behind the rubber hood...

Old Dodge Dealer in Las Vegas

We're trying to find the name of the Dodge dealership on Freemont Blvd, Las Vegas NV, back in 1968. That's where our '68 Coronet was sold. Can anyone remember the name of that dealership? Got the info I needed on 8-10-11

    Strut rod front bushings

I have a '68 Coronet R/T. Today I noticed that the front strut rod bushing is torn on the passenger side. The car has less than 1000 miles on it since it was restored. I know that it has a 2 piece bushing, so I'm wondering if it's possible to remove the nut & cap, and replace the front part...

    Fender Tag question

We own a '68 Coronet R/T made in the LA plant. On the lower row of the fender tag, righthand side, is a 6 digit number. I think that this is the shop order number. I believe that the first 2 numbers for a '68 should be 19. Galen Govier looked over our car at Mopars on the Mississippi and...

    Big win today!

Today we drove up to the Mopars on the Mississippi show in Dubuque Iowa. This was the first all Mopar show we've attended with our white '68 Coronet R/T. The car was well received and we came away with the Best of Show award. My wife thinks that this car should be a keeper. Here's a picture...

    Need a part for Tic-Toc-Tac

My '68 Coronet R/T has the original Tic-Toc-Tac and both the clock and tach still work, however recently the little gear for setting the hands on the clock cracked, and the shaft came out. I took the clock to an instrument shop here in town, but they can't find the replacement gear. Does...

    Proper mounting for flasher?

My '68 Coronet R/T has a flasher unit laying under the bottom of the dash between the steering column and the ignition switch. I would think that it should be secured with some type of mounting similar to the ones on the ash tray. Can someone tell me what is correct? A picture would sure be...

Oil pressure gauge reads too low

I recently bought a '68 Coronet R/T and I was concerned because the oil pressure reads too low on a fresh rebuild. It has the Rallye gauge package. I grounded the wire at the sending unit, and the gauge went up to the max reading. The gauge reads 20 lbs at idle and only 30 lbs at 2500 with...

    New photo gallery

Hey guys, I just added a photo gallery of the white '68 Coronet R/T we purchased last week. It has the white/black interior option provided by Legendary Interiors. Only 116 miles since a complete restoration. Car is well equipped.... PS, PB, AC, 727 console shift, and 3:23 Sure Grip. It has 5...

    '68 Coronet R/T interior

I'm looking at a '68 Coronet R/T that has the White/Black interior - S6W. The car has white buckets and door panels, black carpet, and black seat belts. It also has black sun visors. Those look strange against a white headliner. Does anyone know for sure whether the black sun visors are...

    Cool license plate

I attended the Mopar Happening at Belvidere Illinois yesterday, and parked near me was a Charger with this neat license plate. It pretty well sums up my feelings, especially since Obama took over the car industry.
