I'm on my computer with a 1440p 32" monitor. I think I can see just fine. Where the bracket dips, it should be flush. Like the 1st picture I posted. The casting extends out and all I see is the casting take a 90 degree turn downward which is where you see the spark plug bracket.

I pointed to the bolt where you should be looking and then in red where the pad sits flush with the bolt hole.

You sure? The 3rd bolt hole would be flush with the pad. I dont see the pad near your arrow at all. It would be flush with that 3rd hole on the right.

A real easy/quick way to see if its a 440 is looking for the number pad on the drivers side right behind the water pump housing. It should look like this. The hole would be the bolt hole for the valley pan hold down on the drivers side front. From the looks of your picture, this engine looks...

    440 Timing Cover Milodon 65650

Hey All - Looking to replace my stock timing cover on a 71 block (internally balanced). It appears to have the stock timing cover with the timing tab attached. I'm looking at the milodon 65650 and wondering if I need a timing pointer like 440source sells (part #: 121-1063). My other option is to...

    Borgeson Box/Pump Hard to Steer

Yea. Borgeson just says to add a bigger cooler. Kind of worthless info! Speeding the motor up does not help. I wonder if caster plays a factor into this?

    Borgeson Box/Pump Hard to Steer

I have installed a new Borgeson box and pump setup and a decent sized cooler. When the engine is cold and warming up, everything works great and it has great feel, but after a little driving the steering is tough to turn at a stop but easy while in motion. I figured this was due to heat, so I...
