I'm just checking to see what the typical cost are. I'm calling a local shop tomorrow but I figured I'd check here to see what others have paid.
It's a 1969 383 4barrel motor.
I'd like it pulled apart and everything looked over. If original parts are in good shape clean it all up and put...
I'm looking for a 440. Not looking for a camper 440. It can be complete and running or just a block. Trying to find one in NC. I'm in the Raleigh area.

I just picked up this alternator from Napa. It’s what comes up for 1969 plymouth 383. I’m not sure my motor is 69 though. It doesn’t look the same as the alternator I pulled off. I pulled two wires off my old alternator, I’m assuming this one would wire up the same.
So my regulator went bad and I’m replacing that. Decided to replace the voltage regulator also. I didn’t test it but figured it’s old so why not. Looked up the part number and found it at Summit. Description says “race only”. My motor is a stock 383 4 barrel intake with mopar electronic...
Pioneer cd/am/fm head unit in a 69 Satellite, 383 with mopar electronic ignition.
The radio/cd player sound goes out at around 2k-2.5k rpms. There is still power to the radio but no sound. It's not an antenna issue because it does it with CD player as well. It doesn't do it all the time...

Vintage Air heater box part #506101
So my heater core went a month ago. When I pulled the heater box I realized I would need to rebuild it. My brother installed one a Vintage Air heater box in one of his cars and it worked well so I decided to go that route.
Install went fairly...
Are these worth buying and putting on my 383? The price seems good. I was going to replace the cast iron 4 barrel intake with an edelbrock performer one at the same time.

So if I still have my 69 Satellite around Jan/Feb I plan on pulling the tired 383 and was planning on dropping in a 440.
The more I read these threads the more I'm tempted to do the 5.7 or 6.4 swap.
Cost seem to be somewhat close. Crate 440 vs 5.7 or 6.4 used/reman seem to be close in...
Took out the heater box and discovered a rats nest of wiring. I think I unraveled 2 rolls of electrical tape.
I know the one to the left is a flasher relay. What's the one to the right? I'm still unraveling electrical tape so I can't really see where it goes to. This picture is where the...
Im headed to the Charlotte Auto Fair in September. I figured I'd throw a price on my 69 Satellite. Not sure what price to put. Not looking to sell it but if I can make money on it I will use that money to buy another. I like flipping cars just not sure I can make money on this one.
1969...
I need one fender mounted turn signal socket/wire. When I bought the car I noticed it wasn't working. Looked under the fender and noticed someone ripped the wire out of the socket so there is nothing to attach new wire to.
I need the socket/wire but will buy the whole thing including the lens...
69 Satellite non AC car.
So one problem fixed, found another. Passenger side carpet is wet so I'm leaking coolant out of the heater core I'm guessing. Only thing that makes sense. I looked at the box and it appears if you remove the cover and remove the bolts and loosen the bracket/clamp for...
I bought a kit from the guy recommended on here that builds stock sets. He did the rear shoulder belt option which was a rare option. Does anyone have a diagram or picture of how it was set up from the factory?
Thanks
i developed a ticking under the hope and I believe it's the exhaust manifold. I took the manifold off and found two exhaust manifold gaskets with both metal sides facing the head, not the manifold. Weird. Hopefully this is what's causing the ticking.
I've only owned the car 4-5 months so I'm...
I didn't know I had electronic ignition before I ordered the pertronix parts. I didn't pull the dist cap before I installed the pertronix coil to see if i had points...I assumed I had points. I'm guessing when I bypassed the ballast resistor like pertronix instructions say and I left the stock...
im went to install the Pertronix 1 and opened the dist cap and saw this. Is it a stock style electronic ignition? I also went to bypass the ballast for the pertronix cool. Is this fine putting all four wires together?
UPDATE---I made some errors. Now I need to figure out how to fix it.
I bought and installed the MBM front disc brake kit. The install went fairly simple and I had no leftover parts.
The problem is the outer brake pads have a little play inside the caliper. They move about a quarter of an inch. When I apply the brakes while driving I can sometimes hear it shift...
