That's my concern about the lap. The weld through primer is supposed to help but I'm not too sure about it. I believe more what your saying about sealing it off.
Hey friends! Will soon be welding in quarter skins on my 68 coronet. I'm debating on the long cut that's made across the top of the panel. Would it be better to leave a half inch then flange with spot welds? Or make a straight cut and butt weld? Would like to get some opinions. Thanks!
Hello everyone. I'm getting ready to replace quarter panel skins on my 68 coronet. I'm thinking about spraying Bed liner on the backside of them for sound and protection before I install them. I would stay away from the areas I will be welding of course. Has anyone ever tried this or think it...
Thats awesome that you have both models to compare. The rust on mine is at the very bottom behind the bumper. I thought there may have been a chance that they didn't change it behind the bumper from 68 to 69. I may have to try and make something. Thanks for the help
I have a 68. The lower part of the tail panel is rusted out. I see that they offer a replacement tail panel for a 69. I thought about getting one and using the lower part to repair the rusty area. That's why I was wandering. Thanks
hello everyone. Anybody know if a 69 coronet tail panel would fit on a 68 coronet? I see that the tail lights are different and also the key for the trunk lock is different. Just wandering if the overall measurements and shapes are the same. Thanks
