Jamey your door panel appears reproduction. Compare to these photos, see how the stampings are deep and puffy in these photos. Now compare it, your panel is flat and not very puffy...
Hose clamp is the winner. You can adjust the height of it and get it in the right spot, the cable comes right out.

Rattle can paint will wipe off pretty easily with paper towels and the proper brake cleaner. Some of it eats paint, some won't touch it. Napa brand #4810 works.
I'd say ask around at local car shows or car clubs to find qualified shops in your area. May be folks on here that are in your area.
If you go knocking on shop doors ask for references and what their experience is.

You might just skip all the MSD parts also. Unless, You have a race car or high compression engine? Otherwise it will not make zero difference in the way the car runs.
