    Ticking Noise in a 1970 Roadrunner?

    Did you ever find out the problem? Years ago , I had a similar problem with my 383 auto and it turned out to be a very fine crack running out from a flex plate bolt. Only occurred under load, but up through most of the RPM range. Good luck, Will be interested to hear what it is.

    Geez, I have been collecting NOS dash parts for my 64 Polara convertible, but some of these conversions are beautiful. Definitely have to look at this option; or a combination of stock and custom..Nice work.

    Thanks for all the welcomes. Was out at the shop today and noticed a huge amount of transmission fluid leaking out of the 59 Monarch. So looks like I will have to get that fixed before proceeding with the 64. Opened up the 383 and it is in like new condition; so this just adds to my dilemma on...
