Perhaps a comp, I found an NOS quarter for 70RR convertible, likely last one in existence. $1.5K in 2010. Drove 600mi to pick it up, didn't want to risk shipping damage. Offered it to AMD as a mold for repro but they said wouldn't be cost effective, not enough demand.
My daughter's 69 RT, 3rd owner, 440/auto, all orig metal and numbers. Orig sales paperwork, window sticker, broadcast. Bought new at Crenshaw Dodge in LA by long time friend who kept repair and maintenance records. He sold it to my neighbor (I helped arrange the deal) in 2010 who sold it to...
The "driver condition" population of 68-70B bodies is diminishing quickly (I know CAPT Obvious). Even 20yrs ago when I started looking for a 70RR vert, choices were pretty much rust city or fully restored, virtually nothing in between. I found a 383 driver, with a reasonable amount of rust...

Using a 4dr sample to develop 2dr product doesn't surprise me. In the late 90s I collected several NOS panels for my 70RR convertible, including quarter panel, dutchman, and fender. Around 2008, just before I started my resto, contacted AMD and spoke to one of their production engineers...
With apologies to OP for walking on his thread...The Firecore Ready to Run (RTR) distributor, which requires a special Firecore coil, was the engine builders go to. Worked for about 3mos, then the engine just shut down one day. Did the troubleshooting included in the paperwork and RTR checked...
Glad the build pix were useful. If you need any other help, just holler.
OT, it's interesting that he/Firecore have a decent rep on moparts. So I wasn't expecting the unresponsive/unconcerned attitude.
