I have found a 8 3/4 at a local pull a yard. It is out of a 63 b body. I'm wanting to put it into my 69 coronet. I have researched an see that the spring perches are the same an even the flange distance same as well. But the length for drum to drum is 58 1/2 on the 63 b body an mine should...
Tried to search but couldn't find anything. I have a 69 coronet with 8 1/4. Gonna put a 8 3/4 in it. Is it an easy swap or will I have to move spring hangers or anything? Btw I have found a couple of rears one is out of a 69 coronet the other is out of a 73 roadrunner. Thanks
Does any body sell these new? I can't find one. Mine has been painted all black by previous owner. If no one makes one does any body restored them back to original?
Tore down my 400. The casting date on block is 8-17-75. Took valve covers off an one head is a 452 and the other is a 975. Is this common. I know the 452 were started in 76 and the 975 was 74-75 I believe. Don't know history of motor. It is stock bore size. I never heard the engine run...
I have a question for the experts. Was wondering if it would be best to drop 400 and 727 into car at same time. Or would it be best to put transmission in first then stab with motor? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first post. The car is a 1969 dodge coronet (SuperBee clone).
