Did you take measurement from end to end on old set up before removing tie rod ends? I’m trying to remember, I had an issue with using the old tie rod connectors. Ended up getting new ones. I think they bottomed out before achieving proper length!
That’s kinda funny. I have mine mounted under battery tray right where yours is. Pump looks exactly the same, and I did wire in a relay with it. There was a diagram that came with it that says to “T” it to the existing line that came from your manifold or carb. There was a tank with the car when...
There were many things done wrong with this build, before I owned it. I’m just trying to improve the things I can be done without breaking the bank. The car came stock with Drum/ drum breaks . It looks like the booster is original. So I know that’s an issue since there was a front disc...
My 440 is putting out around 8# of vacume at idle hardly enough to supply my disc/drum set up. Instructions say put vacume intake to check valve on tank then out to the check valve on break booster. Seems strait forward. My issue is the check valve on my tank let’s vacume out but not in. So if I...
The high ball joint would be the key I’m assuming. I don’t know much about the thin rubber bushing on 2.0, but I do know the Delrin is a proven good product.
Hi Peter, yes that is my question as well. I have a 68 Coronet. What is the difference and or benifits of the 1.0 vs. the 2.0 you mentioned a few days back? Thanks .
I did on my 68. It comes with an “L” bracket that attaches to lower which bolt . I used one from PST. It installed easy, and yes performs great! A huge difference.
Your welcome. There are different suppliers that make sway bars of different sizes and some that are adjustable. This is just what I chose to do. It still gives you a decent ride, yet stops the dips in corners. It worked very well for me. Good luck!
Yep, I get it. My car came with no sway bars and had Monroe’s on it. When I changed them out, I had a bad front and a bad rear shock. With that combination, may be why it was such a big move in the right direction for the Dodge. But I know of many who swear by them ..
Here is photos and part numbers . One stop shopping. PST sells the shocks as well. So there may be some sticker shock on the Bilsteins, but once you get past that. You won’t look back . That are amazing in these B Bodies. What I can’t tell you is which of the three made the biggest impact. I...
I had Monroe’s on my coronet, the Bilsteins blew them away. Rides like a new car. I will look up part numbers. The sway bar is made by PST. You can go on thier web sight. And see the one that fits your car.
PeterBergman set me up with the new conversion steering box set up. Very strait forward and works awesome. Loves the extra room around the header. It does seem to run a bit warmer than the other pump but doesn’t seem to be an issue. With that set up, new Bilsteins, sway bars, I’m driving a new car..
