But I raced the car in the above post for 11 years with 8 inch 4.5 backspace
It went 9.88@135 best. Race weight with driver was 3750
I think the 4.5 backspace worked ok

My 2 cents on the Mancini mount:
I had them a few years ago. Unless they changed them when I crisscrossed them they had a tendency to bend.
I have used the factory brackets see pic in the rear. The front has brackets similar to Mancini but thicker steel with no bending.

I have the books. Used them to set up cars in my past. Info is still relevant today in lots of instances. Especially for those building and racing nostalgia cars.
