    You might want to check the tab that goes to the clutch pedal arm that sits on the shaft for cracks. Mine broke off and I was locked in first gear on the way home once.

    Duralast Water Pump Quality Issue

    Same thing happened with mine,there were wear marks on the impeller and the housing. My restoration guy said to stick with a NAPA part.

    3.23 gears, 70mph, 3400rpm? Does this sound right?

    My stock tach reads 1k higher as it is old and the speedo bounces at 55-65. Pretty much the norm for aged gauges. Doing a full resto on the car, not sure if I am going to go electronic on the VL and tach or just try to re-calibrate the tach.
