I have nothing but good things to say about Kil Mat. heat is down. Truck is very quiet (67 Jeep Gladiator that sounded like you were in a tin can). Adhesion is no issue. It was done 3 years ago.

You cab buy the new fiberboard. Carefully remove the vinyl from th eold board. Cut the new piece to fit. The bjiggest pain is cutting the slots for the mounting clips. Reglue the vinyl and install. Time consuming bet not that hard. Done more than a few. This is just one example.

I was very concerned about this issue. As mine is a racecar and the entire inside metal structure has been removed. We loooked at all the gaps without the seal installed. Bending the flange inward at the tight areas helps. Mine even had an area that was very tight at the upper rear area of the...
If you have someone artistitic you can buy different shades of brown and fake it in pretty good. Depends on how big the spot is as the brush strokes aren't quite smooth.

This car is one of mine that had pin holes patched with all metal. This car was done in 2003. These pics were taken 2 years ago. Don't let this type of repair scare you. The floor was just to nice to cut up. To this day you can't tell where it was done.

Trust me I've welded plenty of sheet metal. And no place better to learn than on floor pans. That being said I've made better looking small hole and pitted metal repair than many of the repacement pieces I've seen welded in. So it depends on the desired result and your skill level.

If it cleans up without a lot of holes and it is still stiff, it'll be fine. Get it clean and then decide. Welding thin metal pin holes is a pain. I've successfully patched them with All Metal, JB, even seam sealer on pin holes. Do both sides. If it's clean and water tight it works. I'm talking...
I used Kil Mat on my wife's 67 Jeep Gladiator. 36sq/ft from Amazon foe $53.
The difference in the noise level is nothing short of Amazing. Vert satisfied.

I've repaired these. Carefully remove the cover from the board. Go to the local upholstery shop and get some fiber board. Make a new board using the old one as a template. Pay careful attention to the clip holes. Spray trim adhesive and reglue. You can also use masonite. Its tougher to cut. I...
I've made them from Masonite and the original fiber board. You will need a Dremel or a drywall router to cut the rectangle holes for the retaining clips. You can pop rivet the steel sections to the Masonite. Just made these for my wife's 67 Gladiator. Its white faced 1/8" Marlite I had laying...
The roll cage was in the way of the shifter. So over to the right it went. That was easy. The new bezel was a bit tricky. Made a fixture to cut and swap the button ends for the manual valve body.

I've made them from the cardboard as well. You can buy it at upholstery stores. The rear panels were made that way. In the past I have used existing vinyl peeled from the original cardboard. Then reapplied it to the new cardboard as a repair. I did masonite on this front to stiffen the door. I...
