Darter, I did mine using the original crossmember in my '65 Coronet. Had to modify the pocket, drill a single hole and used a late model mount. A friend who has been working on Mopar's for 40 years helped.

Trying to locate a source for the steering column reverse pattern shift indicator bezel like those used on the S/S Mopars. I need one for my '65 Coronet.
I used a column from a '66 Dodge Coronet to replace the cable type in my '65 Dodge Coronet. Everything from the steering wheel, later replaced, too the trans.
Schumacher also makes conversion mounts to install later engine trans combinations. I have a friend who has done several change overs and I will ask him which mounts he used. Did you by chance, notice the engine sits farther away from the firewall on the earlier B-bodies? That can be remedied...
