    Aluminum intake blast material?

I take my aluminum stuff to my coater, where they blast it, then polish in a giant tumbler that is used for ceramic headers. A couple minutes tumbling, and VIOLA`....looks almost OEM. Too long, and it gets almost polished like the ceramic coating.

Should you save old parts or sell them?

Shipping has killed my desire to sell online. Nobody wants to pay for it, and trying to make packages moron-proof, can be mentally tiresome. I did well at the NATS, and would attend again. One more big trailer of stuff, and most everything else could go to the scrappers. I'm thinking of having a...

Should you save old parts or sell them?

I've been throwing parts away for a couple years. If a friend comes over and can use it....it escapes the trash can. I have to bust-up lots of things to fit in the big/rolling cans, and my bubby scraps the metal.

If you like your car as-is........sell the parts. They take up room, and your heirs will throw them into a dumpster.

Tough question (maybe nobody knows the answer)

Kinda thread-drift.....But back in the day, my father worked at Warren Stamping and they were running aluminum parts. They were running the material in the steel dies. He said they scrapped about 80% of the panels they hit. I worked there in the late 70's, and really got to dislike the 1st-draw...
