I take my aluminum stuff to my coater, where they blast it, then polish in a giant tumbler that is used for ceramic headers. A couple minutes tumbling, and VIOLA`....looks almost OEM.
Too long, and it gets almost polished like the ceramic coating.
Shipping has killed my desire to sell online. Nobody wants to pay for it, and trying to make packages moron-proof, can be mentally tiresome. I did well at the NATS, and would attend again. One more big trailer of stuff, and most everything else could go to the scrappers. I'm thinking of having a...
I've been throwing parts away for a couple years. If a friend comes over and can use it....it escapes the trash can. I have to bust-up lots of things to fit in the big/rolling cans, and my bubby scraps the metal.
A great passed-on friend of mine, used to build a couple models from time to time. He did amazing work. The CMG car was scratch built, and was done 15 years ago. Jack was the most talented man I knew. God blessed him with multiple talents.
These guys have been coating for decades. They do all my stuff, and their header/exhaust coatings have been flawless. They also stand behind their work. Great guys, and racers.....

Kinda thread-drift.....But back in the day, my father worked at Warren Stamping and they were running aluminum parts. They were running the material in the steel dies. He said they scrapped about 80% of the panels they hit. I worked there in the late 70's, and really got to dislike the 1st-draw...
