newbie lookin for 2 road runners!

im lookin for 2 road runners that my dad had when i was a kid and so far ive browsed the site and havent had any luck on either one. ill give a description of them both as they were legit cars but off hand i dont have any pics or vin numbers but i can give a general idea of last where abouts and general description. any info on these cars or pics id appreciate it.

1971 RR: 440+6, 4spd, air grabber, go wing, dana car, red with white interior roof strobe stripe(i believe it was to be black) it was a project car that was missing all the good stuff (motor trans rear) but still had the hood. i was wrecked at some point and the core support was changed but the rest of the numbers that were stamped were all vin matching. it didnt have the white interior instead it had a black satellite interior. it also had old cragar wheels with bias tires. when my dad sold the car it went to Michigan and that was the last i saw the car and i believe that was around 2005 or 2006. the guy he sold it to was after it for a few years and i dont know if he ever restored it or what? so any info would be awsome!

1973 RR: 318, 904, 10 bolt rear? this car was a true survivor car that was all original when my dad had it. except for the A' cragar type wheels my dad added. factory white body, blue interior, red stripe! i always thought it was a odd but cool color combo! he bought the car from a guy at the chrysler carlisle 1997ish and we drove it all over for a few years. then the trans went out, it got put away and then around 2002-3 some guy chased stories about it and said he wanted to enjoy and preserve it as we did and we got the run around (he just wanted it to make money) he then ruined the original paint by doing a whip and dip and took it to chrysler carlisle and sold it there then around 04-05 i think it did pop up on ebay a few times in Kansas and Missori. that was the last i saw of it and we did speak to the ower at the time and told him about it. its last time seen it was still the white, blue, and red, but had a go wing, lots of chrome under hood and still had the A cragar wheels on it. so if you know about this car let me know

    thanks

also one easy way to tell the 73 was one of the wheels center cap was different than the correct, i dont remember what it was but i just know there was one odd ball center and this was due to the wheels being old stock and just got lost

Do know either of the VINs? Probably make finding them a lot easier.

License plate &/or Vin#'s, what city & state they were sold in, maybe even a name of the purchaser's/new owners after your family... get some of that information, then go to the DMV, do a title search possibly... Have fun, good luck & happy Moparing...

If he finds the VINs, couldn't he run them through Car Fax and get the names of the current owners? I've never used Car Fax so I'm not sure what is shown as far as info on registered owners.

You might want to have him check with the state DMV where the cars were registered. Some states will do a search based on his drivers license number and pull up all the vehicles that were associated with that number.
