Hideaway Headlights

Were the Hideaway headlights in the 69-74 chargers an option, or did they come with a particular model/package ?

In 71 I believe they came with the S.E. package and were an option on the other packages in 71. I'm not 100% sure though, someone with more knowledge can chime in on this.

66 to 70 were standard with one exception. The 69 charger 500. 71 on the se models i think. And after that i dont think you could get them.

Heres a picture of a highly optioned 71 Charger RT that belongs to a friend of mine. It came from the factory with the Optional hidden headlight grille, and the optional headlight washers and wipers (that were available on hidden headlight models that year). Prior to 71, all Chargers (except the 69 Charger 500) had the hidden headlights.
