What is the correct size of a stock wheel for a 1968 Dodge Charger? 14" is the diameter, but I have some inside the rim (measuring with the tire off) that measures 6" and some 6 1/2". Which is correct, or will either 6" and 6 1/2" work? Is it the same stock wheel size for a 1967 Dodge Charger? Thanks!

On 68 chargers were installed 14"x5.5". For steelies and the optional magnums. If you had a hemi car it was 15", not sure about the width.

This is a original 14x5,5" Magnum 500 wheel

I think I may be measuring the width incorrectly. I was measuring edge to edge to get 6.5. Should I be measuring inside where the tire bead goes?

I think you are going right with edge to edge. But do you have original wheels? Or repro. If original it should be stamped inside. I do not think that 5.5" are reproduced.

The wheels are to be measured on the inside like so:

Usually, a measurement on the outside results in about 5/8" wider than the published number.
The 5 1/2" width was common for many wheels.
