1969 GTX....The T stands for tetanus

Cam is pretty close to what Jim had ground for mine. I used a 112 CL to smooth out the idle. I used 1.6 rockers to get the most out of it.

Good to know. I had been looking at one a bit hotter but was talked out of it by a few members the engine, trans subsection. I plan to use 1.5 Mancini Rockers to keel it simple with geometry and clearance. Once the bottom end is built, I can take my time with head selection.

I used the trick flows, great head with lots of meat for porting later on if you want. I would think you should in the 550 area with a good fuel system & heads

Great from what I hear, but maybe out of my price range. My first choice is a set of Stealth Heads, with Hughes springs and checked by my machinist. The TF are double the price.

I looked at stealths but by the time I replaced the valves, springs, retainers, & locks with machine work it was close to the same money & less cfm on the flow. On a positive note the stealths would make great sleepers if painted.

I got the passenger side seat tracks finished and assembled. This side went much smoother and they turned out great.

Found the box with the motor mount parts and cleaned them up. I had been reading about a way to keep them from breaking and looked at a few ways to harness the power so i modified my right side mount to work...hopefully.

I drilled and tapped the far 2 holes through the rubber isolator and inserted 2 bolts with about 3/16" gap between the head and face to allow for some movement. Should keep it together.

We'll see. Mitymount has a similar setup with bolts that look to be mounted flush. They are a hefty $135/pair so I will try mine out.

Don't buy the Schumakers! Overpriced and poor quality. If I had to do it again I would of went with mighty mounts. Let me know if you need anything, may have it in my used or extra pile. Like suspension parts and body gaskets.

Thanks. I don't have is a driveshaft, which I may have one built from aluminum. Shipping would probably be expensive for a used one. Do you have a spare water pump housing? Mine has a busted off bolt hole.

The Mitymounts are over $100, so I will run mine and add a strap.

Last night I got the quarter window regulators put back in. Much easier than figuring how they come out. I left the glass off because I am still waiting on my weatherstripping.

Today I got some more parts in and so I installed my headliner. This one fit like a glove. When installing these, there are 2 wire clips that push into the rear upper window frame and attach at #6 bow. Start here and get the rest of the bows in while pulling it. After I had it in and a few of the teeth up front caught, I went back to the back and stretched and attached the rear. Went back to the front and pulled it tight and attached. Then I worked side to side using 3M contact glue and the tiny clips that hold the headliner to the roof rail. There are still a few wrinkles but I plan to hit it with a heat gun to see if they go away.

Not bad for my first time:D

That looks good! Sorry didn't have a spare water pump housing.

Thanks for looking. I may be able to use mine as the bolt hole looks to be for an accessory bracket. If I think of anyyhing else, I'll let you know.

Just set my rear window. Used 5/16" window setting butyl and 3M primer. Wasn't so bad and looks pretty centered.

Man your getting right after it. I gotta get my vinyl top on first.

Mine was a vinyl top car too. But after seeing what a leaky one does to a roof I decided to omit it. Like it is going to be left outside in the rain, snow and salt air lmao. But one less thing for me to worry about.

I am waiting on my firewall insulation, so I can put the heater back in, then I can get the dash back in, run my wires, get my front windshield installed, and other odds and ends. But stuff like seats and door panels etc is going to have to wait as I am saving my pennys for the motor assembly and trans rebuild.

Are you doing the top yourself?

No, don't think so. I'm going to leave it to the pros. If you need any firewall gaskets or stuff let me know as have duplicates of some stuff.

Ok, I will. I ordered the big gasket kit from DMT and so far it has everything. The weatherstripping kit from Soffseal has hood seals, all door and quarter seals and trunk gasket.

This stuff goes on much easier than taking it off. Didn't really need any pictures as it fell together. Cleaned up and lubed the door mechanisms. The door handles are presentable but will likely get replaced in the future as time and money dictate.

Also, this came out of the driver side door and I cannot remember where it went. Maybe an anti vibration clip? Water guard? Has a groove that it mounts in....
