Hey all, wondering on your opinions on converting my automatic 73 charger to a four speed pgrip car. I know the company atached (http://www.brewersperformance.com/) makes a sweet looking four speed conversion kit with what looks like everything required to do the swap, has anybody done this that can tell me from experiance what pros and cons are of doing this besides having that sweet four speed? anything thats a major pita about it? seems relatively straight forward and ive decided if i cant frind my dream 71 r/t then im going to go all out with my 73.

Back in my HS years before I knew any better I converted my 68 RR to a 4 spd and it was pretty easy. But now I get to fix that gaping hole in the floor like it never happened.

I too am interested in this kit from brewers as I plan on converting my roadrunner so would like to know if there's anything to watch out for.

I am converting my 70 RR from a console automatic to a 4speed. I started a thread on it a while ago (link below). I'm sourcing the parts myself to save money. I am almost there, just need to get a bell housing and clutch. I bought an 833 trans locally and either going to rebuild it myself or have a local Mopar guy do it. All the parts will cost me about $2500, so quite a bit of savings. Some parts I bought privately and some from an FBBO vendor. If you want details, PM me. Good luck. Here's the link to my thread. Haven't updated it in a while since I have only gotten parts and not done any new work.

price looks good enough to go for it assuming i dont sell the car by february. look like they got realllly good testimonials and the process seems pretty straightforward. will update with a final decision soon
