What cam did you decide to go with?
I haven't ordered the cam yet. When I do Dwayne Porter has one picked out. I will order from him.

I got a chance to get to the track and try the car out and I am happy with the results. I still have some tuning to do but i'm on the right path. Car ran a 11:71 @ 116.75 and responded very well at the lights. I thinks it's ok for a 4100lbs car.I put together a 451 B engine with TF240 heads and I had Tim @ Hughes help me pick out a cam and was very pleased. I also had one ground by Bullet and that did pretty good also. Had a few Hyd roller cams and they got into the 570 HP range and then Tim suggested a solid flat tappet for valve control. Let me tell you it picked up about 30 hp and a whole heap of torque. Tried a few tests on different engines 440,451,470,512 and hyd roller and solid flats. Every time we used a solid flat it just plain and simple did better that the hydr roller. Yeah have to adjust them once a year but it sounds great and the car pulls like a SOB. Lot less $$$$ also. And that's from a 451 with 10.75 compView attachment 634429

DA?? if it's altitude it's 100Very nice. What was the DA at Napierville today? Like -400 ft?
Density altitude. It's air density relative to standard atmospheric conditions and is represented as altitude relative to mean sea level. If the track is at 100 ft, and the air temp was 45° F, the the DA was likely a negative number.DA?? if it's altitude it's 100
Write like this character speaks you do...Deep in the weeds technical stuff it is.
Did you get the "low profile" 7 quart and if so, do you have the part# handy?Fit the new 7qt Milodon oil pan, Mopar windage tray with Milodon pickup to the engine. Had to clearance the windage tray slightly to clear the pick up tube.
I sure hope that I didn't jump too soon on my $1,700 some odd dollars I just spent on the QA1 front suspension with Summit. Mancini was the closest on price, Summit being a dollar or 2 cheaper on a couple of parts, not significant $s, but Summit matched the price from another website on the SPC UCAs, and that saved me about $60 on the pair vs Mancini (who offers SPC). Free shipping is a significant savings, and frankly, customer service is WAY better in my experience than Mancini, and Summit has a generous returns policy. I guess I'll have to check pricing on everything I bought vs Monday's prices.I have a bunch of stuff in my cart at Summit. Waiting for cyber Monday.
That cam would be good cut @ 112 LSA would be good vaccumBio, I bought the 7qt Milodon oil pan with side kick outs,
oil pan #30930, https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mil-30930
pickup #18325, https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mil-18325
They came in an oil pan power package from Mancini all together in a kit with some other parts.
I think the best deal Summit is going to offer is that $11 off $100, $26 off $250, $51 off $500 deal with free shipping. I already placed one $500 order this weekend, placing another tonight, and one more tomorrow. I wish it was a straight 10% off deal, but it stops at $500. I hope they dont cut me off, lol.
Trick flow has built a stock stroke 440 making close to the numbers your looking for, 576TQ/ 620HP. The cam they used is a little aggressive for my needs. I want more vacuum for power brakes and to cruise at lower RPM than the cam they used would be happy with. Your needs may be different than mine. I still expect my build to be over 600#TQ and over 550 HP, and act like a mild built engine

Did you use the trick flow recommended cam? If so how does it idle? Does it make much vacuum?
