They can be. However they are cores that I take in and sell restored ones.
I'll get pictures of the restored set tomorrow.
I sold three sets last week at Carlisle and these are the cores, some are good drivers but not for show.

Are they anodized ?

No there is no need to be. I have had a pair on my Savoy for over 4 years and they are fine. All is needed to keep them looking good is Windex.
