Guys, I'm working on replacing driver's side floor pans, front & back. Also installing 4 speed hump. First Mopar resto, have a question re: the torsion bar crossmember...

On the section where the hump is, does the torsion bar crossmember get sealed up, or is it left open from the top from the factory?

P.S. -- not my car, stole pic off the 'net for reference.

If the shifter is aft of the crossmember (bucket seats), the floor was left over the crossmember. Basically, two holes are cut (fore and aft of the crossmember), floor panel material is left to “box” the top of the crossmember. Sealed? With seam sealer? No.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, appreciated.
