Correct Speedo cable length

Hello, I am Looking for a new speedo cable for my 69 roadrunner 440 4 speed. (Mine melted on the exhaust). Places everywhere have cables available in various sizes but not the size I have currently. The length of mine is about 54 inches. I have no idea if that is stock. I’ve seen lengths of 40 and 62 inches. Before I took my old one off, there was a good bit of slack but I’m worried if I go with the 40” , it won’t be long enough. Does anyone know what the correct size is?

Don't forget to order one of these... so it doesn't happen again!! Trying to find a shot of the cable pack.. but not having much luck.
