Is this cam a good choice for a 383 with stock pistons, rods, 906 heads w. stock rockers and valves. HP-valve-springs though (double spring)...

I'm arfraid there's too much lift so the valves will hit the pistons.. What is the "lift ratio" with stock rockers in 906 heads?

Blew it up for you...

You will have to know how far down in the cylinder the top of your piston is.
You will need a heavier valve spring.
The valve guides will have to be shortened for retainer clearance.

Hello RRSweden, you can find out all about this camshaft on www.hughsengines.com, also it seems that you may have a basically stock 383, if so I think I would use a less aggressive cam like a factory magnum grind and they work great without all the extra trouble. Good luck, John.
