Here the 361 Commando in my 63 Fury.Somewhere along the way the intake was changed to a 4bbl and it has an adapter for a thermoquad topped off by an aftermarket air cleaner.
I want to go for a more stock or period correct look and picked up an AFB carb and am looking for an original type air cleaner to top it off.I've already jettisoned the Ford battery and the aftermarket fan will have to go as well.

An earlier shot the engine was on a dolly...now bolted in. Have a few little issues one is the right header is a little close to the shock tower...I had installed a header spacer (flange) between the head and header...reason for that I apparently have a set of heads with the "ridge" above the exhaust ports. The ridge doesn't allow a flush fit without grinding the flange down to fit under the ridge. I'm going to try to shim the motor mount but if that doesn't work I'll remove the header and do the clearance work....always something.
