Searching for my Dad's 68 Hemi Super Bee. He bought it new in '68 in northwest PA. He was from Pleasantville, PA and I'm not sure what dealer it was purchased from, but I believe it was relatively local.

Hemi 4 spd, (split) bench seat. Yellow. Manual steering, power brakes.
I do not know the VIN, current or any past owners to search registration and location. Hoping someone has it/seen it/knows a guy...

My Dad found it back around 2000 in western PA, and I assume it's still in the general area. He passed away 2 years ago 6/2015 and I have heard about this car my whole life and would like to find it and build it with my daughter to keep in the family.

Last known w a 383, I know he pulled and sold the Hemi in 1971. It still (or did) have the tow bars still welded to the frame rails thru the bump that he used to tow it to the drag strip with.

Pictures are from 69/70, then a few from when he found it in 2000.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

    -Corey

Thanks, but I already have a B to make a clone from, I'm specifically looking for my Dads car as he was the original owner...makes a much better story ;-)
Let alone $69k for a car that isn't; yellow, 4spd, or Dana 60...is def out of my budget.

I completely understand. If the car still exists, it shouldn't be too hard to find

      1968 Dodge Super Bee Hemi J-Code. 1 of 125 made, 1 of 94 automatic.
That's from the ad for the '68 Hemi auto bee. If those numbers and my math are correct, that makes only 31 '68 Hemi 4spd Super Bees ever made...total. That's a VERY small haystack to find your needle in. Maybe check for a Super Bee registry? Or just check ANYBODY that has a '68 Hemi 4 spd Super Bee? There's only a MAX 31 people to contact.

I posted similar ad over a year ago in the B Registry, and it appears 'my' car is listed there, as a yellow, hemi 4 spd (I think 1 of 4 combo)...but they don't give out members info, so unless I have a name or a VIN, I don't have any way to actually make contact. He said he would pass along my message and its up to the member to get back to me...as of now, still nothing.

Take from that, that the car you are searching for actually survives to this date. That's a great start. Time will soon give up a clue or two in your quest. Low production numbers like that will eventually lead to someone finding out who owns the car.
Maybe the local shows are a good place to start....heck, even Carlisle might throw up a clue or two.
      Good luck with your search.

Thanks! I'm hoping something turns up eventually...not in a terrible rush bc my daughter is only 2 right now...so a few more years before she's ready to drive a Hemi 4 spd :-D
Heading to Carlisle this weekend and I'm sure i'll try to chat with a few Hemi or Super Bee owners!
